Arby Potable Water Update November 16, 2012, 02:04:32 pm Yahoo Message Number: 135168A Flickr member has made a valuable observation that I've just included in the narrative.http://flic.kr/p/dtGfdm Safoocat noted that my use of the carbon filter during water-tank refill operations would remove the chlorine from the fill water. I agree that removing the chlorine is not a good idea since it helps keep the tank fresh. It's something I should have thought of myself a long time ago.Thank you, Safoocat.George

Unless you add additional untreated water of course. Carbon filter OK.Regards, Holly

Unless you add additional untreated water of course. Chlorine doesn't hang around long, and is pretty much tasteless. When reacting with organics, it produces chloramines, which are no longer useful for removing the organics, and those hang around a very long time, responsible for the 'chlorine' taste. They can also do unpleasant things to us.Steve
