Living Long term with Arby - Removing and Re-installing the Window S

Because of the close fit of the screens within the 2007 Lazy Daze window frames, removing and re-installing them can be a bit aggravating. But it gets easier if you know how the Factory keeps them in place...and easier still if you have the right little tool to help you.

George:

Does the "brake tool" have an official hardware-store name?
BTW, you are providing a truly invaluable (and very kind) service to all current/future RB owners, and quite a good percentage of other model owners, by your meticulous recording of hints, tips and mods...thank you so much!

Hi Tina,
I think the "technical" name is "brake adjustment spoon" and it is used to turn the "star wheels" inside drum brakes to adjust the brake shoes contact with the inside of the drum. When I was a kid, we just called it the "brake tool" 'cause if we wanted one of the more exotic tools tools for springs and washers and such, we would be more specific.

Thanks, George
