Living Long Term With Arby - A General Caution About the Rear Bath M
Yahoo Message Number: 134935
In the course of re-reading and correcting this morning's early post about Arby's wardrobe, I had a new thought that stopped my fingers dead on the keyboard! As a result, I've added the following to the wardrobe discussion and will repeat it in each post related to the 2007 26.5 Rear Bath model bath area. I think it is worth sharing here as well.

____
"Let's begin this discussion with a CAUTION: If you are in the bathroom with the door closed and you feel "faint", open the door immediately or sit down on the throne. If you should fall to the floor and block the door's swing path, it will be very difficult for help to get to you." ____
The door swings inward toward the bath and covers most of the floor with its swing arc. With the door's movement blocked, its hinges are hidden behind the extended lip of the forward wardrobe bulkhead and cannot be easily removed to gain access.
If I had thought of this earlier, it would have moved my planned modification of the wardrobe door right to the top of the list. When I was five years younger, the very idea of fainting would not have ever occurred to me. But now, the unexpected seems to be becoming the "norm". For example, Tuesday, I was just fine. Tuesday night, I noticed some floaters and flashing light in my right eye. By 11am yesterday morning, I was back home after emergency laser surgery to repair a retinal tear. All appears to be well but who knows when nature will send her next curve ball my way. Better to plan ahead these days where I can.
If you have any motorhome with a bathroom door that swings inward, you may want to give the situation some thought.

Good Idea, George. In my RK, I got food poisioning and that exact thing happened to me. I passed out while on the throne. Fortunately, the door on the RK bath opens out, so my wife could get to me to help.
I would never have thought about it in advance, but stuff like that does happen.
