Deer, Now Feral Hogs

Warning: The newly opened section of Toll Road 130 from San Antonio bypassing Austin has experienced numerous incidents of vehicle encounters with Feral Hogs. Currently there is no resolution offered to reduce the hazard other than reducing your speed below the 85 mph speed limit, especially at dusk.

Feral hogs are also an issue in Florida especially on highway 60 between Vero Beach and Tampa. We have seen them along the Turnpike as well. A very good friend totaled a two year old Dodge Caravan on 60 just after dusk.
 Our goal is to be off the road by 4:30 to avoid the heavy commuter traffic and to get a good night's rest before heading out to tour a local area or heading down the road to a destination.
