Fuego Grill and long comment on an older LD

We just ordered the Fuego Element propane grill from Woot, or Home Woot, for $99.99. The size is perfect for 2 and will fit in our smallest outside storage compartment in our '89 TK. The Weber Baby Q is really too big for our needs and it never got hot enough to suit me. I'll post a followup review after we use it.
Lots of you offered much needed advice last year when we were experiencing wiring problems. The best advice was to dump the useless mechanic but it was too late for that. After paying close to $1400. the problem was still there. We found a reliable mechanic who found one bad wire - 1/2 hour of labor and a smooth running Ladybug! We spent the winter in Gulf Shores, Alabama, and had a trouble free trip both ways! She has 113000 miles on her and takes the hills like a frisky colt. The oil was a little dirty when we got home but she hadn't used a drop.
Some thoughts for those of who who are contemplating buying an older LD:

We bought our 1989 TK in 2002 with about 53,000 miles on her.
After using Eternabond on the roof, we still have a leak in the rear, most likely from the clearance lights. Hard to find the culprit.
Everything inside is still working fine but we did have to replace the fridge.
The cushions are in great shape and the beds are still comfortable.
The carpet is SAD looking but... we can live with it.
The sliding part of the screen door has broken twice but that's an easy fix.
Trojan batteries have been replaced twice.
Original converter seems to have enough oomph for us.

Most everything is original, except for the water pump.
I'm trying hard to find fault with things but she's been amazingly sturdy.
Bottom line - we paid $16,500 and have had 10 years of mostly trouble free enjoyment. We've made 6 cross country trips, the longest was 7 months out and 13,000 miles. We still love her! Our house is for sale now and there's a good chance that we'll live full time in Ladybug until we decide where to settle.

That sounds reasonable but we purchased her in 2002 ;-). She needed batteries when we bought her. We drained that set beyond recovery - pure ignorance. The next set we fried in Nevada because we were plugged in for four months without checking the water level. The third set lasted for eight years and we only replaced them because we just didn't want to worry about them and we found a really good sale. The converter seems to be functioning alright but I'm sure that it could be improved. I've never seen another RV with the system we have, Energenius. It was an upgrade to help manage the four solar panels.
