Bolt Torque Question
Yahoo Message Number: 129965
I recently had the drive train disconnected at the rear of the LD to

have it towed. What is the torque setting for these bolts when it's

time to reconnect the rear end again ?

Thank you

JC

If it was the four bolts that connect the rear u-joint to the flange on the differential, the service manual for my 2002 E-450 lists the torque as 83 ft-lb (112 Nm).  I hope whoever removed the driveshaft marked the correct alignment before disconnecting the driveshaft.  Not keeping the same alignment could result in a driveshaft balance problem.
