HughesNet outfit for free April 06, 2012, 11:21:40 pm Yahoo Message Number: 129700After seven years using the HughesNet satellite internet service, I've decided to depend on Verizon from now on, so my HughesNet setup--dish, tripod, HN7000 modem, etc.--is available to the first person who wants it. My friends in southern AZ will be storing it for me, so you'll have to go there to get it. It was working when last used (about nine months ago), and should be good for spare parts, if you already have one of these systems. I wouldn't bet on being able to use it as a new customer, though, because HughesNet has switched from wide-area Ku band to a spot-beamed Ka-band system that is useless for RVers. I *think* this hardware is also Ka-band compatible, and if so, it could be used in a fixed location such as a remote mountain cabin, but I can't promise anything. If interested, contact me via email: andybaird at earthlink.net Please use email; I don't want to clutter up this list with private messages.Andy Baird http://www.andybaird.com/travels/
