Martha Marks visited the LD group in Albuquerque at the Balloon Fiesta last Fall.
I just go an email from her saying that we could share this information which is that her eBook "Rubies of the Vipers" is free today and tomorrow for the Kindle. I'm going to past in the info from her email and hope that it is something that people might want to know.

 Call it a ploy to revive my book-marketing efforts. Almost a year ago, RUBIES OF THE VIPER reached #1 of historical mysteries for the Kindle. It held the #2 spot for much of the year, but my promotional efforts were non-existent after Bernie got sick, so the ranking slipped quite a bit. Despite zero marketing these last five months, the novel has continued to sell reasonably well. It's still rated an average of 4.5 out of 5 by 61 reviewers on Amazon.
 Call it whatever you like, but please head on over to my book page on Amazon and grab your FREE e-book copy of my novel. Assuming you own a Kindle. I hope you'll read it and love it, of course, but even if the book doesn't interest you, simply by downloading it you'll be doing me a huge favor.
 How does downloading a free book enhance its marketing? It's because freebies count as sales, and sales = more visibility = more sales = even more visibility = even more sales. Etc.

 BTW... this free promotion is going gangbusters and getting lots of attention on Twitter and elsewhere. Since just this morning, there have been over 1500 free downloads in the US, over 50 in the UK, and a dozen more in Germany and Spain. It's currently #112 in the Free Kindle ebooks store, #2 in Historical Mysteries, and #5 in Romantic Suspense. This is all good, because it translates into much greater visibility in a crowded marketplace, even once it returns to paid status early Sunday morning.
