Off to the Mothership to Order Mid-bath - Bigfoot levelers

Don, Immediately after returning to Florida from the LD factory with our new RB in May 2010 we went to the Bigfoot Florida facility and had their newly offered EZE jack system (much lighter and less expensive than their original system). We got the manual (only) controller mounted in its own box (not mounted on the lower dash where it can't be seen) that was attached on an umbilical wire coming from under the rear of the drivers seat. The whole assembly is stored under the seat when the jacks are not extended. To extend, I take the control box from under the seat while still sitting in  the drivers seat and visually referencing two bubble leveling tubes (one on the dash for side to side and the other on the door for fore & aft reference) I easily level the coach. I then leave the controller box on the seat to remind me that the jacks are down. In addition, I requested the power for the jacks be taken from the engine battery instead of the coach batteries as I can keep the Ford engine running to power the jacks instead of using the coach batteries that we depend on for our extensive dry camping. I later added a marine style 2-battery selector  switch where I could pick what source I wanted for the jacks. the switch could also, if needed, connect all the batteries together.
I like the Bigfoot because they extend straight down instead of swinging down. I had the swing down type on a previous class A motorhome and occasionally had the problem of them not fully dropping down because of a ground obstruction preventing this. Our Bigfoot jacks have worked flawlessly since we have had the coach.  Last Fall we had to have the tires removed for rotation/balancing (we already have traveled 30,000-miles) and the tire shop used the Bigfoot jacks to lift the entire coach off the floor (using some blocking under the jack pads) to do the job. I had first asked Roy at the Bigfoot facility about the capability of the system to do this and he said absolutely No Problem as the jacks are rated much highter that the weight of the coach (and they won't fold up accidentally as with other brands).
I didn't want the Automatic leveling option as it could be something else to be a problem down the road and I didn't want the "Jacks Up" sensors as they can become ineffective with mud/moisture build up at the sensor.  You will find that the jacks are invaluable in that instance when the weather is very bad (wind/rain/snow/mud) when setting up at a campsite at night after a long tiring day of travel.
