Lazy Daze certification for Canada
Yahoo Message Number: 128819
I have read recent  postings that indicate  LD  are not  compliant  for certification for Canadian registration.
I don't live in Canada, or plan to live there, but just curious.  What  does Canada require that  the US does not.
Can anyone provide a brief explanation ? Wayne, Rociada NM

Wayne, It is similar to different building codes in separate governmental jurisdictions.
Canada requires specific specification of the assembly of different components of RV construction such as plumbing (both water & gas) electrical, structural and insulation. These Canadian specifications are not totally identical to whatever the US/State codes are and Canada wants all RV's registered in their country to comply by each RV manufacturer by certification. It took several years for Born Free to get the certification for their coaches and it is not retroactive on coaches built before the  Canadian certification is approved. There is a good deal of expense for a manufacturer to comply and LD (even though they probably exceed the Canadian requirements) feel that it is not worth the expense for the few coaches that could be sold to Canadians.
