I drained the water heater tank...now what??

It hadn't been done since I purchased it a couple of years ago.
Nice clean water came out so I guess that is a good sign.
 As I prepare for an upcoming trip I am now wondering (and the manual didn't indicate)...how do I refill it?
 Do I hook up the hose to the coach, crack a hot water faucet open, and turn on the hose until it starts flowing out the hot side faucet?

Okay...I think I got it.
 I opened the pressure relief valve on the water heater, turned on the hose from the house until it stopped blowing air and started blowing water.
