furniture questions

Hi,
Looking at the LD website photos , the 31 footer has barrels chairs in the living area. It looks like the chairs probably rotate?  Are they also fastened to the floor?
The table betwen the chairs has three layers on top. Does the top layer fold up?   If  so, it looks like the  exposed second  layer would then be large enough to support a laptop computer. With the top layer folded up, is the second layer stable enough to support the weight of a  laptop?

Thanks,

Michael

I cannot speak to the barrel chair/folding table configuration but there is an optional way to go.
In my '04 30IB I have the optional expandable dinnett. It's normally configured for two people with a table between the seats. However, as needed, that table can be extended with the use of an insertable leaf and the seats slide out to seat four. In a pinch you can seat a fifth person on the couch at the end of the table. It works well for me!

You need to ask someone with a newer rig.  On our 2005 30TB, the table is only 2 parts, but I know on the newer 30 footers, the table is as you described.  I'm not sure when they made the change in the tables.

We have an '06 AE 30IB. The table swings up and is used as our dining table and computer work station (bottle storage below and a small storage area on the wall where the extension is stored as well as some of our reference books). There is an extension that permits four to sit down for dinner - the extension puts two on the sofa or sometimes we use a fold up chair.  The barrel chairs are fairly comfortable for the table and to view the TV. Not permanently fastened but are held in place by seat belts.

We have a 2002 IB so the table is different (older style).   The barrel chairs rotate, are not attached to the floor, do not have wheels, and have seat belts from the floor that can be used.    They stay in place very well and do not move around when traveling.  They are pretty comfortable.    Gale
