Are any of you memebers of RV clubs...??? We were with Good Sam's quite a number of years ago, but never got the use out of it that we should have, so discontinued it.  Are they worth it..??  I heard heard yes, and heard the opinion that some feel that they are a scam.  I realize that there are several out there such as, Good Sam's, alernative resources, escapees, etc.

Alternative Resources is not a club...it is a mail forwarding service in Sioux Falls, SD.
I am a lifetime member of Escapees...that's how important I think this club is to *us* (really, more like a family).  As I've stated many times before, IMO, it's a club that all fulltimers should belong to, although it's of value to other RVers, even if not fulltimers.

As far as Good Sam is concerned, I am also a lifetime member.  That membership was purchased many, many years ago and is not something I would do today.  I've even gone to receiving their Highways magazine electronically instead of it being mailed just so I wouldn't have to fool with it.  (Just a note of interest to those of you who might be interested in Good Sam's Emergency Roadside Service:  You do not have to belong to Good Sam in order to use their ERS...it's available to everyone.)
Passport America might be of use depending where and how you travel.  PA offers a 50% discount on overnight fees.  It's main use is for overnight stays as you're traveling, not for long-term stays.  There's also a similar club called Happy Camper.  While many of the RV parks in both systems are the same, one may have more parks within a given area that the other, so it's good to go to each website to see which has the most parks in the areas you'll be traveling.

thanks Linda. I have been considering re-joining an rv club, and yes we are full-time rv'ers.
