LD newbie here reading a lot of informative posts and interesting blogs (esp Andy Bairds..the wife has spent more time w/ his journals than me lately). We are considering purchasing a used LD IB in the near future and our main concern is the height of older models. Due to the entrance door, the unit needs to be under 10'6". Would anyone out there know what models would not fit that criteria?

I believe all are under 10' 6".Chris

Don't know how many have hts listed though. Typing this on the phone so don't know how to trim it....Dave W

Would anyone out there know what models would not fit that criteria? --- I don't know what you mean by "older models", but I have a spec sheet for the 2003 models, and the unladen ground-to-top-of-the-*roofline* heights on the spec sheet for the 2003s was 110"; 11" was added for the AC for the 23.5' and the 26.5', and 13" for the 30 for a total of 121"/123" overall height. The specs for the current models are similar, but note that the figures listed *include* the AC. (Curiously, the 24" is the tallest of the models at 10'3"; the 27' is 10'1", and the 31 is 10'2".) Perhaps owners of other model years still have the original spec sheet and can offer additonal information.Joan

Looks like every model and year will meet our low profile needs. Now all we have to decide is which floor plan will work best for our life/sleeping style. Will there be a LD rally in the midwest or great lakes area in the near future?
