We recently had to restring one of our blinds, not as bad as expected.  Not something I'd do for fun, but not as bad as removing the toilet. . .
For a couple of years now, I've been thinking about new blinds, but geez, are they ever expensive, so I'm playing with a couple of ideas for the old ones.
So here's my question, does anyone who has replaced their blinds by any chance have any of the old ones laying around?  If you do, I'd be happy to take them off your hands, assuming the price is right.  We'll be going down to Morro Bay in March, or maybe someone wouldn't mind mailing them, as I'd be happy to also pay postage for one or two.

Just a thought.

Kate,
As a new member to the group and prospective LD owner, I found your Internet site http://www.cholulared.com helpful. Of particular help, was the description of your thought process on selecting a floor plan and the modifications to the LD you subsequently made. We are struggling with a floor plan decision--27-foot mid bath or 31-foot twin bed.

Thank you for documenting your story with your LD.

Gerard

Gerard,
I'm glad somebody has found the site useful.  I admit I haven't kept it up as I should, since I now post most things on my blog.  I've considered taking it down, but it seems it still serves a purpose.

Kate,
We still look at cholulared.com from time to time hoping some new additions would pop up. It helped us decide on a 30 footer when we were choosing a coach. Perhaps there is some way to combine the two sites?
But back to the blinds... which ones are you looking for. The large windows in the lounge, Left or right rear, bath or kitchen? It will make a difference. Kitchen and bath are mini-blinds (metal) the others are cloth/paper like stuff. We noticed that the sizes of the bedroom windows are not the same when we made heavy winter drapes recently.
Both our kitchen and bath ones broke recently. We checked prices between Home Depot, Camping world and The Mothership. Ended up buying from the Mothership. Painless, least work and cheapest. The kitchen one was $25 plus shipping.

Please don't take it down. It is one of the best Lazy Daze sites that really lets you see what living in one will be like. You did a fabulous job, and no one knows that it is "outdated". I know you have had other priorities lately, but the day will come when you will get back on the road again, and Cholula will be rolling. Thank you so much for documenting your rig so well. I also love the camera stuff on your blog. Keep it up.

Brenda and Betty Jean,
Thanks, It's not really a problem to keep the website up, I'm just never sure that anyone still refers to it.

Back to my original question regarding blinds . . .
Has anyone ever tried painting their blinds?  Or perhaps dying them?  Or maybe drawing on them with ink?
I'm just kicking ideas around here.  I would love new blinds, but they're so expensive, I'm just trying to think of of some way to rejuvenate the old ones.
If I get new ones, they wont be white, so I'm thinking there must be a way to color the old ones.
And Lydia, you asked about which windows.  It would be the two large in the living room and the three large in the bedroom (30 foot twin).

We replaced the kitchen and bathroom years ago with "curtains"

All ideas appreciated.
