RV camping, smart phone application question January 20, 2012, 10:58:37 am Yahoo Message Number: 127919The DW gave me a i-phone so we could video teleconference once I pickup the rv - and for other things too, I need a phone once I retire. I noticed there is an app by Allstays for finding campgrounds and Walmarts aimed at the RV population. 1. Anyone here have those apps? 2. Worth while? 3. Suggest something else? John

John John, I have that app on my Ipad and works great. You might want the free "RV Park Finder" app as well. Joe Hamm-San Jose

Re: RV camping, smart phone application question Reply #5 – January 21, 2012, 02:37:36 pm Yahoo Message Number: 127934Hi Kate, Thanks for directing us to your blog. I haven't had my IPad that long, so I found your recommendations very helpful. I could not find the Road Trip. Could you give us the name of the developer? It sounds like a great app to keep track of expenses and I couldn't find another like it. Thanks! Jeanne Hoover, Alabama

That should hold me for the short term. If all goes well, and I think it will, I will be using them next month. John Da (WantabeLazyDazer) Crema

Jeanne, if you look at the blog, the link should be hot (you can click on it and it takes you to the app), but here's a link http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/road-trip-mpg-mileage-fuel/id298398207?mt=8The one I use is actually for the iPhone (I have it on both devices) but I see they now have an iPad native app for $4.99. It's called Road Trip HD. The seller/Developer is Darren Stone. I've kept all the motorhome and car records in it and love the convenience. By synching it to dropbox, I have all the info on the computer, iPad and iPhone.Kate http://cholulared.blogspot.com http://www.cholulared.comLiving somewhere near the corner of no and where

Re: RV camping, smart phone application question Reply #12 – January 24, 2012, 04:46:43 pm Yahoo Message Number: 128012Larry,It is an iPhone app. Here is a neat description of it, It is listed by its earlier name so all the crash complaints are nonsensical. In the store it is called truckster as the splash screen indicates. This web page allows you to see the different screens and functionality if you scroll horizontally in the iPhone screen pages shown there. as I read this back yo myself it doesn't make much sense but give it a whorl anyway.Maybe you will ditch the Samsung for a Steve Jobs memorial iPhone? http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/truck-stops/id322673469?mt=8Lydia

I already have an iPod and soon an iPad. The iPhone will have to wait until the contacts are up.Larry
Re: RV camping, smart phone application question Reply #14 – January 24, 2012, 06:32:27 pm Yahoo Message Number: 128016Larry, I'm glad you found it. I think it should work on an iPad, even if it isn't a 3G one. It has the library, but, the location services are very useful in narrowing things down on large interstates, within a given state.Regards, Lydia"Larry" wrote:

Got the Road Trip HD app for my IPad and I'm pretty impressed with all it will do. Multiple vehicles, multiple trips, even a map that pins all your CGs. Pretty spiffy!! Let us know of other recommendations along the way. Also thanks for the info re CA St Park Pass you just posted on your blog! Good info.
