I would not want to carry one in an exterior compartment for fear of gas flume build up and besides, how do you safely carry the needed fuel? Most LD owners rely on solar and the onboard generator. The addition of a high-output converter will enable better usage of the generator and significantly reduce run time. If you insist on a carrying an outboard generator, you can use a rear hitch rack or store it in a toad. Be prepared to have the generator stolen, even if securely locked. They are very temping targets which can be quickly sold.Larry
