In my '06 MB there was a VCR above the TV, it was disconnected when I got the rig. My question - where did the VCR get its power from ?

Most likely from a 120V outlet at the very back of the cabinet next to the TV.... unless it's a 12V VCR. You can tell by looking at the connectors on the back of the unit which type of power it needs.

Thanks Andy, The TV is a 12V, and no 120 existed up there - but there is now.

Thanks Again.

My '05 MB 'Yonder' didn't have 120 VAC behind the TV from the factory, I added it later. This is an easy mod, due to the layout and existing AC plug near the floor below the clock. There is also a plywood access plate near the forward end of the couch back cushion meant for access to the shower valve plumbing.
A hole saw is used to make a hole behind the TV cabinet, then a fish wire is used in two steps to pull from the outlet to the plumbing access hole and then to the new hole.
Another easy to wire AC outlet can be added on the pax side below the thermostat just above the couch cushion - - handy for laptops etc while at the couch. This one is tied into the outdoor convenience AC outlet and the wire run goes under the wardrobe area.

Ya, the on behind the TV was indeed easy, haven't gotten to the other yet - thanks for the pointer, it is now on the LIST!
