UPS usage may not be a good test of RV suitability, given the very different driving pattern of package delivery versus steady driving to the next campsite. I know two people personally with 5 and 6 year old Views that like them very much, and know of several that have them (all glider pilots towing 1600 to 2000 pound glider trailers) and like them, so I'd be very hesitant to go by this report from one person driving package delivery vans and not an RV.
Much better would be to see how they are rated by RV organizations, by talking to users, and visiting the forums for Sprinter chassis units.
The forums I monitored for a while when I was very interested in a View were full of satisfied owners, much like this forum, and hoping the factory would introduce their favorite "would like to have" changes so they'd have a good excuse to buy a new one.

This is a very popular vehicle, sold in several countries and at a premium, an unlikely scenario if they were really so bad.

The slide, water pump, and generator problems sound like it might be an electrical problem. My first guess would be a bad ground somewhere. But, probably not the reason the doors don't close right ;-)
Russ Dean RV, the Pasco dealer, found and fixed a problem in our current Class C that four other dealers in 3 states could not solve over a 15,000 mile period - an intermittently dragging right rear brake. Let's hope they are just as effective now as they were then.
