Another H20 winterizing question
Yahoo Message Number: 126189
I own a 1994 22' Lazy Daze.  When winterizing the system, is it necessary to blow out the water heater?  Or will it drain completely via gravity when I open the plug?  I plan on adding 6 gallons of antifreeze though the water intake. Do not have the talent to install a bypass valve as discussed in another message here on the forum.  Thanks.

Draining the water heater will empty it quite enough, but without the bypass, your water pump will try to refill it with the anti-freeze - a very expensive proposition.
