I'm new at this (RV'ing that is) I joint this fine group to try an get as much information as possible and because I find the LD's to look very attractive(my wife love's them too), I want an rv that is no more than 20 feet bumper to bumper as my city is very stricked on were and how you can park but I my driveway is 20 feet on the dot and I was informed that I can park it on my driveway as long as it's 20 feet right on the money. I know they made an 18 foot Lazy daze but want to know whats you guys experience with that and what was the production dates also if you have pictures please send them to me.

Welcome!  I've got an '85 LD -- in the mid 80's they made 18, 20 and 22 footers.. I believe starting around '89 they started making the larger rigs but I'm not sure when the smaller ones were phased out..  I think most people are looking for the bigger ones these days..

LD last produced a 20' model in 1985. LDs shorter than 22' are very rare and the few you may find will most likey need a lot of work. Short LDs are so uncommon, I have never even worked on or even been in one (other than the original model at the Mothership).
If you are really limited to a 20' model, I would recommend that, unless you are mechanicaly inclined and looking for a big, expensive project, you may want to look at other makes of newer, shorter RVs.
Whatever you find, make sure to have the coach and chassis checked out first by an RV tech and a automotive mechanic. It may save you thousands in unexpected repairs.

Larry BTW  A major problem with the shorter models is how small the various tanks are.
There isn't enough space under the coach for bigger tanks.

Thanks for the welcome I found out that the last 18 footer they made was 1985 than they made a 22 as the smaller one.

Just some suggestions of my own as being an LD owner for a whole WEEK!  :-)

Just because a wall looks "good" doesn't mean it is.. Our rig has a couple of soft spots in the rear corners on the back wall -- far left and far right (right being in the bathroom if facing the rear).
I believe probably from water leaks but am not sure yet.. You can check for "softness" by lightly pressing on the wall panels -- if they feel smushy then you know there's an issue.  It seems like it's more of an issue in the corners unless the rig has not been taken care of well and in those cases the damage will likely be very obvious..

Also, make sure it's got a bathroom sink.. Ours has been removed by a prior owner and my wife & I didn't even notice.. Not sure how that happened but...

good luck in your search!

An ice pick and a flashlight are two items you always take with you when inspecting RVs and boats. Every soft spot gets stuck.
If you find start finding soft spots, turn around and walk away. The ice pick only finds severe cases of rot.
That is the best advice I can give any shopper, unless your life is demanding a big challenge.
Personally, I would prefer an SOB, in good condition, than a rotted LD but that's just me. YMMV
