any post-buy regrets regarding options?

My wife and I are planning on touring Lazy Daze in June. We are interested in the 26.5 ft mid-bath model. Our option list so far:

-CD instead of cassette in dash -extra holding tank insulation -85W solar panel

Haven't decided on upgrading the inverter to a higher wattage and will not option for the barrel chair option because we want the couches to join for a king bed.

For owners of similar models, are there any options that you wish you or the previous owner would have done differently?

Nice options, but none of those were available as such in '83 when ours was new. My only reservation would be the CD player.

CD players have a limited lifetime because of the laser, and mechanical delicacy. Cassette units aren't real reliable either. An option is to use a portable CD player with a 'car kit', as we do. The adapter pops into the cassette player and cigarette lighter. The sound is very good.

There are drawbacks - cords connecting things, securing the portable player, mechanical noise from the cassette unit. When the CD player dies, though, it is cheap and easy to replace.

Another option would be a remote changer unit, which could be easily replaced or repaired without removing the radio/control panel.

We received our 26.5 mid-bath in March. Our options are: -8 CD changer mounted behind passenger seat in dinette...we love it. In dash is AM/FM/Casette.
-Solar panel...I may never come home! It's great to really use the coach at night without worry, and get re-charged thru the day since we boondock most of the time (no hook-ups).
-Pedestal table that mounts in a receiver plate in the floor between the rear couches...great for snacks, extra dinette, kids drawing, etc. table stores easily in closet.
-Roof mounted 12volt evaporative cooler in addition to roof mounted air conditioner. It is installed in the roof vent outside the bathroom door. Great for hot dry weather at night for sleeping comfort, and can run it all night...don't have to run the generator for the a/c. Doesn't work in humid weather, though. A "west of the Rockies thing", pretty much.
-Receiver hitch for bike rack or towing the boat.
The only thing I am somewhat frustrated with is the TV/VCP they chose...no audio/video inputs for my 8mm camcorder to play scenes shot waterskiing, etc. I am looking to replace the TV with one with a/v jacks, or VCR with these jacks, but ac/dc TV and VCRs with these jacks haven't been easy to find in the same size...unless it is a TV/VCR combo. If I go to a TV/VCR combo (like 1999 LDs), I have to cut the cabinetry...I want to avoid that! Besides that...the rig is awesome, and these options really fit our needs.

Thanks aq433 and robhaerr, you have us thinking about the CD changer. Some options like the pedestal table and evaporative cooler aren't listed in the brochure. Our facility visit is just a little over two weeks away. We'll give a trip report when we get back.
