Pex compression fitting, or low voltage to water pump
Yahoo Message Number: 118180
Hi, anyone see their automatic water pump (2005) continue to stay on, even though pressure is up to the cutoff point?  My batteries were quite low, maybe low voltage to the pump (controller) can cause this.
I would like to think that the pump controller would not run the pump if voltage is marginal.
Then a compression fitting(mine) on the pex pipe under the lavatory blew out. Maybe from the high pressure, or maybe because pex-al-pex compression fitting should not be used here?
I don't think that I left the compression fitting improperly installed. The pump didn't stop, even though all outlets were closed.

Speculation?

Regards, TS

That is one of the classic symptoms of a bad pump. Let me guess - is it a Shurflo Extreme Smart Sensor 5.7 pump? Do a search for hundreds of posts on this subject.
