Going into the unit, behind the passenger's seat, on the right wall there are 3 switches (one for inside light, another for outside light, and the third ? ? ? ? ? which is red and backlights when turned on. What is this switch for? Can't find anything about it in the LD book. Thanks, Angela and Dwayne, La Mesa, Ca. P.S. We LOVE it!!!

Could it be for the "porch light" or utility light on the driver's side? Same kind of light as the outside light by the entrance door.Chris

Just a thought: your coach may have had electric steps that failed and were replaced with a less expensive and less trouble-prone manual step. When my electric steps fail, that's certainly what I'll do. That red illuminated switch sure sounds like the electric steps switch to me. To the best of my knowledge, LD has never used an illuminated switch for the porch light, because there's an ankle-level interior light right inside the entry that comes on when the porch light is switched on. (You may not have noticed it because it's small, black, and after ten years the bulb may have burned out.) That little light tells you the porch light is on, so there's no reason to use a self-illuminated switch for the purpose.Andy Baird http://www.andybaird.com/travels/

There should be a short cord with an 4 prong, electric plug at the end. The plug would connect to the removed automatic step.Larry
