My new home with help from Tim Pease
Yahoo Message Number: 112414
Hello All,
After lurking in this group for over two years now I finally purchased my new home.  It is a 1991 Rear Bath and I can't wait to hit the road with it.  I looked at several LD's in the last year and never saw anything that really got me excited.  I then noticed one on Craigslist and called the owner to check it out.  The minute I saw it I knew it was the one for me.
The owner was the second owner and owned it for the last 13 years.  It was in pristine condition and he kept it in great mechanical condition as well.  The inside of it was also immaculate and no signs of wear.
While it was being worked on it was parked next to a 2002 MB in the lot with it.  My new home looked better then it as the 2002 paint was very faded.

I asked the owner if I could have someone evaluate it for me and he agreed.  I then contacted Tim Pease.  I did not know him prior to this but had read many good things about him in this group.  He told me to mail a check and he could evaluate it the following day.  He went out to the owner's home and spent about 1 1/2 hours evaluating it and sent me a full report including pictures.  That was the best $205 I ever spent.
The report showed everything that worked as well as those items that needed attention.  I was then able to negotiate the price a bit lower with the owner and everyone was happy.  In the next few days I was able to take ownership and Tim drove it to his place of business to repair those items that needed attention.  He resealed the roof,  replaced the swamp cooler with a Fantastic Fan, added a quick-release connection to hook up a catalytic heater and also added a backup camera as well as many other small issues that needed attention.

I did not know Tim until I made the phone call to him but I highly recommend him for any repairs or upgrades you may need as well as evaluations of used RV's.  He kept me informed every step of the way and his prices were much lower then anywhere else including the Mother Ship.
You can read about him at his website ExtraMile RV
http://extramilerv.com/>    He can also be reached by email at service@...>  or call him at (909) 228-8916.
By the way I am retiring on June 18 and will be ready to hit the road shortly after that.  I am planning on attending the Balloon Fest in New Mexico in October and would like to meet up with the rest of the LD pack.  Do I need to sign up for this?  Please let me know.

Hello All, After lurking in this group for over two years now I finally purchased my new home.  It is a 1991 Rear Bath and I can't wait to hit the road with it.  \ ========================= Congratulations, Jim: You've made three decisions that will brighten your life. The first was to get your Lazy Daze; the second to have Tim Pease evaluate and repair it; and the third will be attending the Balloon Fiesta in October. The LD people you'll meet there will be among the best you'll ever have the great priveledge of knowing. Please say Hi for me to Tessa Hill and Linda and John Leach, the best o' the best.
