Really quiet at the mother-ship

Stopped by on Saturday for a few parts and pieces and it was really quiet.  Three LDs on the floor, the big Kodiak, the new design 24 ft. and a brown mid-bath that did have someone's name of in.
I know this downturn in the economy will pass and that the quality of Lazy Daze will carry them through, yet it was a bit still and quiet.  I do feel blessed that living in Long Beach, CA allows us to go to Montclair when we need any little item.

Happy trails,

We've been thinking of buying a new LD to replace our '97 MB.  Earlier this year we decided we'd better do it soon or we'd be too old to enjoy a new one LOL. Since we were going to the outing

Mary, I understand your disappointment. But Lazy Daze makes eleven different models in four different lengths, and there's only room on the showroom floor for two or three coaches. They can't show them all.
Fortunately, the factory isn't the only place you can see a late-model Lazy Daze. The get-togethers of the regional LD groups give you an ideal opportunity to see Lazy Dazes in a variety of floorplans and lengths.
OK, maybe you won't be lucky enough to find a 2010 midbath at the next outing you attend. But the chances are good that you can find a 2008 or 2009 model, and Lazy Dazes don't change that much from one year to the next. Having seen the coaches at the factory, you know what the 2010 interiors look like. All you need now is to see a recent midbath and put it all together in your mind.

We just returned from the factory today, after taking our 2002 T/K there for a few repairs.  We, too are fortunate enough to be able to make the trip in a day.
We were also surprised to only find 2 floor models, the 24' twin/king and the midbath.  Nevertheless, new models were being built in the factory and if we had asked we could have seen other floor plans, even though they weren't completed.
I just want to pass along that some really nice changes have been made to the 24' twin/king. The kitchen area has been rearranged a bit. The drawers are now on the outside of the cabinet, under the shelf, which slides out, and the counter space seems larger somehow, with the sink positioned more comfortably toward the stove. The drawers are larger than in our model, and the undercounter cabinet is, as well. Overall, this configuration gives a feeling of much more space inside. I loved it. There seemed to be more outside storage underneath, as well. This model was a red one, and it was gorgeous!  Tempting....yes....not just yet, though.

--- I haven't seen the new TK, but I went out to my 2003 TK to "picture" the drawers placed at the end of the cabinet (and opening into the "passageway") rather than at their current location of opening toward the "standing area" in the galley; this new drawer placement seems awkward and less conveniently "useable" to me. The sink location might be a plus if the placement *angle* of the sink has changed, too, but it's hard to say without actually seeing the changes. My next project is to change out the faucet as others have done; I've lived with that dumb dribbling thing long enough!

Hi Joan, The drawers might be slightly less convenient, but they're still near enough. They don't really open completely into the passageway because that part of the counter doesn't stick out as far as before. I can't quite figure out what they've done, because the drawers seem deeper and larger, and the underneath cabinet is certainly larger, too.  Even the counter space seems larger, yet the footprint seems smaller. Go figure. Of course, ours is the 2002 which is 5" narrower than the following years, so that might account for the "spacious" feeling I get.
And, yes, the angle of the sink is much better.  We haven't had a problem with a drippy faucet--yet! Shhh....
