Hi Sonsie, We take fishing poles and the ones that break down are kind of ok but what do you do with the salt water poles? I want to put a tube on the roof but we have the solar panels up there and so the pole would have to be hanging off the outside of the roof rail. Please tell me what your pole storage secrets are.

When we had the RB, there was an over-cab bed that we used to store some things, but also slept in. My husband placed hooks or holders along the driver's side interior wall, starting at the far front end of the cabover area, running down the wall to the cabinet at the beginning of the kitchen. We secured the long surf rod to those holders, and it did not interfere with us sleeping in the over-cab area, or opening the window, or anything else. I think he might have put a small towel between the rod and the wall to keep it from rattling.

Now, we drive an RK and haven't taken a big rod with us for a long time. In fact, I'm not sure how we would manage to do it on the inside, as this model has an entertainment center instead of an open cabover sleeping area.
