Fantastic fan maintenance item

I just fixed the cover on my fan, just in time before it breaks.
 The polycarbonate cover on the fan is riveted to its hinge.  In mine (which has no cover from sun) the plastic was cracking badly at every rivet.  Pretty soon it was going to fly away.
 I poxied a thin aluminum strip and I think it's ok now.  I think it's good to inspect the plastics on the roof.

 If you have a Fantastic Fan, call Fantastic and they will send you a new lid free of charge.  The lid is under a lifetime limited warranty.  You might also want to ask about their double wall lid as it transfers much less heat/cool.  Super easy to change out, 4 screws removes the old lid and takes about 5 m
