1977 Dodge 20' Questions
Yahoo Message Number: 111667
We checked out a 77 Rear Twin on a Dodge Chassis today. Of coarse it needs work and I am trying to decide if the work is worth my time.  Did they offer the generator in 77?  If so, where was it's location?  I have an onan 4kw available but did not really check out the best place to stuff it if even possible.   Trying to decide if I want to deal with a coach that has electrolysis.  I has 2 areas that need work.  Does the factory sell the side panels anymore?

Thanks Ramon

Call 'em and ask. For questions like this, the best answers will come from the horse's mouth, not secondhand from us.
I wouldn't hold my breath, though. Lazy Daze is generally quite good about keeping old parts in stock--SMALL parts!--but you're talking about body panels for a 33-year-old coach in a  size that the factory hasn't built in 30 years.

I checked the "LD models through the years" document in our website's files (something I'd recommend you print out a copy of for reference, if you're shopping for used rigs), but it doesn't say when they started offering generators. That's something else you can ask when you call them--if you find out, let us know so we can update the file! :-)

Thanks Andy, as you stated, I did check the generator file before I asked and there was no info for the model year in question.  In fact I have reviewed every file I can find on the site for my questions and to just get general knowledge.  I guess I was hoping that someone had gone through what I am trying to do.  It appears that I may be the first and if this is the case, I will be sure to take take pictures and document my processes so someone else may benefit in the future.
I did call the factory after I posted once I realized they were still open. I talked to Todd.  If I measure what I need, he can check what he has.  He told me another possibility was to buy the aluminum sheet (in case they did not have it) and they might be able to mold the lip on the one side if needed.
Again, thanks to everyone and I will report back after I find the coach the works for my family.
