does anyone know if this, or a thule hitch mounted box can be added to a lazy daze 23.5? this is a 95 model and i am the new proud owner.  the hitch has been beefed up to pull a small trailer, and i was wondering what i can do without adding to the interior. i go to dog shows and want to put my outside setup in the box. any suggestions would be apreciated.
TIA.
Arlene

Towing a 3500lb vehicle 4-down adds negligible weight to the rear of the motorhome and should not affect handling much - although if this is a Chevy 350cid engine (22'), it will be under-powered. However, towing a boat or single axle trailer of similar weight will add about 350 lbs to the hitch, reducing GVWR by that amount (cargo capacity) and affecting handling somewhat. The worst scenario is installing a hitch box carrying 350 lb. This places the load out at a distance well beyond the rear axle with no additional support, and this can cause wandering and even instability if chassis mods are not implemented.
Towing a small trailer would be more inconvenient, but safer and require no chassis modifications. If you do want to try the hitch box, get return privileges should you not like the result, and try to keep the load weight down.

We did this and it worked great. We got a cargo carrier rack and had a big black plastic locking tool box thing already. We put holes in the bottom of the plastic box and bolted it to the carrier rack. We still had room on the side to put other stuff which we tied on with bungee cords. Can't carry it now though and tow our jeep wrangler toad. We put it on the jeep but since it has to come off before we can get in the back of the jeep, we decided to do without.
