Replacement Shades

Hi
Does anyone know where I may be able to purchase the older style pull down shades for my 2001 Rear Kitchen? I am at the Lazy Daze factory and Vince informs me it would take 4-5 hrs to install the newer vertical sliding shades. Something he just does not have time to do without an appointment.  Repairs are scheduled into May!  A discussion led me to believe it might be a little to difficult for me to install the new style myself.

They no longer carry the older style.

TIA Ed

Ok, Ok,  I shoulda searched the archives!!   Just did and found more info.

It's just that I'm sitting in the showroom and I'm bored.

Ed,
We had a warranty replacement for the back window shade on our '05 MB.  It was more of a cosmetic and not functional issue.  Although they were willing to find an RV repair to install it in North Carolina, I told them I would do it myself and did do the work myself.  It was years ago, but I don't think it took 4 hours.  As I recall adjusting the tension in cords was the only tricky part. If you're "handy", you can probably do it without a problem.

Well, apparently you did confuse me, Ed!  :)  That happens easily when I jump to conclusions.  I took vertical to mean to mean go up and down.

--- Well, that's what "vertical" means to me, too!  ;-) I thought that the "new" shades for models with large rear windows pulled *horizontally* and met in the middle...? ? ? ?
