I just added a link under travelogues & pictures for our trip blog.  We are  in Chetumal at the moment.  We should be here a few days.  We saw very few campers on our way south.  Several Trailer parks were empty but for us, so you can imagine how we felt when we arrived in Chetumal at dusk and could see a beautiful 24ft rear dinette parked at waters edge to keep us company. Lynn & Dave are residents of Guanajuato and use their lazy daze as a cabin of sorts on a piece of land they bought outside the city. They also take trips to different areas of this country as time permits ... great folks.

Steve,
You might look in on our daughter Kathy in Paa Mul (a few miles South of Playa del Carmen). She and her husband and four children have a trailer and palapa there. There are RV sites there, too. Right on the Caribbean, with good snorkeling.

Trailer PLUS large two-story palapa, with two boys and two girls (not four boys - that's another daughter's brood).

Yes, yes!  Paa Mul is wonderful!  I could easily live there forever.  You've got a smart daughter, Paul, and I am envious.  I think it should be spelled:  Paaaahhhh Mul.

Tessa in TX,
Mimi and Jonna were great fun when we visited our daughter in Paaaaahhhhh Mul....

Yes Paa Mul is a great RV Park Wintering destination.
Mimi and Jonna had not yet fixed up their home in Merida (which I understand is beautiful) and we met them in their beautiful condo in Akumal (which I lusted after ;o)

If I recall aright Mimi and Jonna talked about selling their condo. It would be a terrific place to have. Right on the ocean and high enough that hurricane flooding is not a concern.

Oh Paul, I was just reading Kathy's great blog, she mentioned Merida and I

was going to remind you to tell her of Mimi and Jonna there when I saw that she has M&J's blog listed on her blog. Which made the connection that it was your daughter, Kathy, who was on a cruise and we MISSED (who Jonna and Mimi recommended hooking up with) when we were down there! Ah-ha! What a small world!
