Help! lost black water elbow and gate valve.

We just dumped before leaving camp site today and the black water elbow and gate valve came off.  Put it back on but came off again while traveling.  We leave for another trip Wed.
 Has this happened to anyone and how is it fixed?  If we buy another part what is to keep it from falling off again.

I'm not too clear on what happened here. Do you have an additional blackwater valve connected on to where the sewer hose is usually attached? Do you perhaps have a picture of the problem that you could post? Steve
