Yikes, I nearly had a heart attack when I glanced at this headline online.  Whew!  Closer reading calmed me down. --Jon

"Lazy Days' RV to file for prepackaged Chapter 11 reorganization America's largest single site RV dealer, Lazy Days' R.V. Center, Inc. of Seffner, Florida, has entered into an agreement to restructure its debt. If implemented as proposed, the restructuring plan will eliminate all of the company's $137 million of debt (other than its ongoing floor plan credit facility), reducing its annual cash interest costs by approximately $16.2 million through the elimination of bond interest payments."
(Former) ‘06 TK “Albatross.” And (former) Vespa 250.   Alas, no more; both are gone.😕 Great memories remain! 😄

There is often confusion between Lazy Days, the Florida RV dealership and Lazy Daze, the Class C manufacturer in California.
Just recently, Earl was talking to a fellow RVer, and when he found out we used to have a Lazy Daze, he said "Oh, they've gone out of business."   Earl came back inside and told me that, and I said it wasn't Lazy "Daze" that had gone out of business, but Lazy "Days" and that I didn't think they'd actually gone out of business, but just filed for bankruptcy.

Let's not start any rumors. I was just there last week (it's just outside of Tampa) and they are still very much in business, although minus a couple of hundred(+ or -) employees. They have a totally excellent full service facility (including a Camping World on premises) and should be on everyone's "Better Campgrounds" list. By the way, they have a 2 nights free for first timers!

I beg your pardon???
You took my quote out of context.  *I* did not say Lazy Days was out of business!!!  I was simply telling a story about ANOTHER PERSON who told my husband that Lazy *Daze* had gone out of business.  *I* told my husband that it was not Lazy *Daze* who had gone out of business, but Lazy *Days* who had filed for bankruptcy.
Please go back and reread my ENTIRE post...and don't say I said things I didn't!

I certainly AM NOT "staring rumors!"

-I want to make clear that in my choice of words I unfortunately gave an impression that I was maligning the original poster and specifically Lynda and I could have calibrated those words differently-
My intent was to post a cavaeat to anyone reading the posts and then possibly repeating the information out of context.(Remember the old parlor game?)

Jay,
We all perfectly understood what you were saying...that is everyone except Linda Hylton!!  Thanks for clearing it up, but we had it all figured out--no need for an apology!  I realize it is a free country and anyone that wants to hang out at this site can do so, even if one doesn't own a Lazy Daze...or know the difference in Lazy Daze and Lazy Days!!!

So cheer up and keep posting!!!!

Jeanne

Hey, let's cool down, folks. Linda's post was clear; Jay didn't mean to accuse her of anything; and we all know that neither Lazy Days nor Lazy Daze is going out of business... so let's let it drop, shall we?
