Here is a direct quote from the Coachnet brochure.

"It does not cover recovery of a vehicle subjected to a natural disaster, a vehicle submerged in water or a vehicle not on a maintained road."

I am not sure how they define a maintained road.

I'm not, either, and since I have Coach-Net and am sometimes on roads which might stretch the definition of "maintained", I emailed them and asked.  When/if I receive a reply, I will post it.
----- I received the following reply to my query "how does Coach-Net define a "maintained road" from Alexandra Donnell, Coach-Net's Membership Sales Team Leader:
"A maintained road is defined as a road that our service providers can safely and effectively get to our member on. Whether that be concrete, gravel, asphalt or dirt. We are able to dispatch in commercial campgrounds because the dirt is maintained and properly compacted.
An example of a winch out service we would not be able to cover, would be if a customer became stuck while camping in the woods or on a beach which did not have an accessible road within 100 feet of their coach. Our service providers need a stable road to park on so they can attach the winch to the coach and pull it safely."
Note that this "maintained road" accessibilty information pertains specifically to "winch-out" service, not necessarily other emergency road services not requiring a winch!

Thanks for getting that information Joan.  As a Coach-Net subscriber I wondered the same thing.  This is certainly more reasonable than some of the RV "Support" services.

I believe this is a lot more than Good Sam would do.  I remember the same question coming up for them and the answer was no where near the same.  But I'm not known for my great memory, so take that for what's it's worth.
