Actually, although the coach pictured is a 1965 Lazy Daze, it was a mid-80s SHURflo ad--one of a series commemorating "great moments in RV history." It went on to boast that all Lazy Daze motorhomes have SHURflo water pumps, something not everyone in this group has reason to celebrate. ;-) Steve Newton has a framed copy of the ad hanging in his office, and was kind enough to send me a photo. Of course it was Steve's father Paul and uncle Ed who in 1965 got the idea of buying a Dodge van, torching off everything behind the cab above the frame rails, and then building a coach body on the resulting "cutaway" chassis... thus inventing the Class C motorhome as we know it. :-)Andy Baird http://www.andybaird.com/travels/

I did not know that they had make a cutaway to do it. I wonder when Detroit started delivering cutaways? Thanks for the information Andy!Cheers, Don
