Cab frame separating from coach side walls--suggestions?
Yahoo Message Number: 104240
2004 Rear Bath: The cab frame edge behind the cab doors is fastened to the leading edge of the side coach wall with philips-head screws. However, the screws are located low on the wall and high on the wall, but not in the middle of the side wall leading edge (vertically speaking). A gap has developed in this middle section where it appears that only caulking and adhesive bind the two surfaces.
I have also noticed that the rear, trailing edge of the side wall of the coach is beginning to separate from the cap that wraps around the rear corners and is fastened to the trailing edge of the side wall.
What is the appropriate cure for these conditions? I am worried about water seeping behind the leading and trailing edges of the side walls.
FYI, where the roof edge rolls over the side walls and is fastened with screws, there do not appear to be any problems.

Thanks--Ted

If it were my coach (also a 2004) I would be on the phone to the factory first thing tomorrow morning. Nothing better than advice from the horses mouth!

Ted, If this were my rig, I would be on the phone to the Mothership about it, especially if I was the original owner. They will be able to tell you if your concern is something to be worried about or not. I would think Vince would be the one to talk with. Or an email with photographs might be helpful.

If my memory is correct, rear cap separation is cosmetic only.
