William, every email you've received from this group has included simple instructions for changing your settings (many of us prefer "daily digest" or "no emails" mode), or for removing yourself from the group. I maybe did something wrong when I subscribed because I am bombarded with emails which I don't want to see. How do I get out of this.? Have you been able to stop the emails? I like to go to the forum myself and search out the topics but I don't want to see dozens of emails each day on my personal email account. I assure you, you are not on my email list - I just replied to your message - why did it come to me? I have only been on the site a couple of weeks. I have never been on a forum before so don't know exactly how things work and how to control the messages??? Helpthanks Cathi__

To change how you want to receive/read messages, go to the bottom of any message you have received and click on, "To change settings on-line go to:" When you get there you can change how you receive messages. If you never want to receive a message, and want to read them only on-line, just check the box that says, "Web Only." That will fix your problem.Dick

Just click on it. Subscribe means you get the emails. Unsubscribe and you don't.You can still belong to the group and read at the website.Join means you are a member and can read on the Yahoo site.Subscribe mean you have the messages delvered to your mailbox. Two different things...However you subscribed and can just as easily unsubscribe, via an email or going to the Yahoo group..Garry

The only way to stay a member and not receive e-mails is to go to the e-mail settings of your profile and change how or if you want to receive e-mails.Dick

Cathi (and others), in addition to the helpful links at the bottom of every email you get from the group, you can change your preferences from the group's website. On any page of the forum, look just below the annoying banner ad at the top for the link "Edit Membership" in small blue letters. Click on that, and you'll be taken to a page where you can change your message delivery preferences from individual emails to either daily digests or "web only"--no emails at all. You were actually given this same choice when you signed up, but apparently many people breeze through the process without actually reading what's on the screen... just as many people apparently don't notice the text at the end of every single email they receive:Well, now you know. :-) One last note: it often takes a day or two for email preference changes to take effect, so don't expect the emails to stop instantly.Andy Baird http://www.andybaird.com/travels/

I love the emails, there is an incredible amount of info shared - it's just that right now - while I still (uhgh - hate using 4-letter words) w---, I don't have the time to weed through all the messages looking for my work stuff. Thanks all for your help. I will be a silent participant for a while. We pick up The Daisy on July 21st. After that - I think plenty of questions may follow!Cathi__

My daughter and sister are prime examples. Don't know what you use for an e-mail program, but with something like Outlook Express or Outlook you can set up as many folders as you like. I have about 50 folders set up to keep everything separated. There is one specifically for Lazy Daze, and only the Lazy Daze messages go into that folder. I can read them at my leisure without interfering with any other messages.Dick
