how was it done in the past? July 04, 2009, 01:33:49 pm Yahoo Message Number: 103702The first rv I ever looked at was a Class C and as soon as I saw the inside, I knew I could live in one and that it would be great fun. So I bought a new one and immediately set off for a 3 week trip from Long Island to San Diego, taking the southern route out there, and the northern route on the way back. I had no campground directory, no cell phone, no computer, no gps, and used cash to pay along the way, no atm. Campgrounds were no problem to find along the way, but staying in roadside rest areas was also done. My communication was a CB radio, and occasionaly a call home from a pay phone. Maps were how I found the roads. I brought with me all the cash I would need. Attractions along the way were found from stateline rest areas. My 2 children were young then, and it was a good experience for them. This was in 1976 in a '76 Georgie Boy Class C. Mari
