Rock guards on rear of LD

I went to Camping World, and the tech took a look under the back of the LD - - said there was not enough room to mount a 16" Rock Guard (the solid kind that hangs down nearly to the road). I know I've seen these sorts of guards on Lazy Dazes, so what are people using?

The tech did not know what he was talking about and has obviously never installed one of the solid guards which they sell.
The supplied instructions specifically tell you to cut the guard down until you have (I believe) 4 inches between the bottom of it and the road.
I just put one on mune!

We just had a 16" UltraGuard installed on our 2007 30ft.  It fit just fine.  Andy has a picture of his UltraGuard in the Photos section here.  We just had ours done a our local RV parts and service place, not Camping World.  Maybe if you check around someone else will be more helpful
