Anyone use scissor jacks for dampening side to side movement when parked? We stay at the same resort in Apache Junction each year for 6 months at a time.
It seems like the frame settles just enough to make it annoying when walking inside the rig.
As past boaters we expect the boat to move when the weight inside changes, but not when "moored" on a stable surface.
Just want to compare tripod jacks to installed scissor jacks.
Your input is much appreciated.
Thanks, Jim Pappas 2006 MB

I can't say that I've ever noticed any movement when walking around. (For the record, I weigh 180 pounds.) I have occasionally noticed sway when there are high, gusty winds (35+ mph), although it's uncommon enough that I haven't felt the need to do anything about it. But just walking around? Nope.
My 2003 midbath has Bilstein shocks, which are stiffer than the factory shocks, and that may help. You might want to check your shocks, although it doesn't seem likely that after only three years they'd be failing already.

I never notcie any movement when I walk around, either.  But whenever someone else walks around -- yes. It's not a problem for us, but we do "notice" it.   /noel//

That's a very interesting point, Noel. Since I travel solo, I wouldn't be in a position to observe this directly, but intuitively I can see how another person walking around while I was sitting still could be much more noticeable.

Thanks folks, They looked like they can be bolted to the frame, but I'm not sure about drilling holes in the frame. I guess I should have clarified my weight; it's 270.
Maybe that's why it moves! (g) Jim Pappas Tacoma, WA

They are bolted to the frame, nothing wrong with putting a few more holes in the frame. Here's the link.

We only bother with putting them down when we are going to be in one place for a week or so.
