Most felt that changing the locks was a waste of time as the baggage doors can be pried open with a screwdriver. However, using a screwdriver or other tool could bring attention as compared to someone using a key like in a storage lot. I have several cylinder locks from a previous motorhome and would like to use them. I tried attaching one several months ago but was unable to remove the lock on my 07 RK. Has anyone made this change with a more recent LD vintage? The present lock would not move at all even after removing the lock washer on the inside of the door. I did not want to try to force the lock out with a hammer...Any suggestions? I do not have the LD with me now so cannot take a look but I seem to recall that the lock was painted the same green color as the door. Perhaps the paint is holding the lock in a stiff position. Banging the lock out may remove some of the paint too and make an ugly mess... Any suggestions?Thanks, Mike
