what are some not to miss sights there? What's the best restaurant for local seafood? Thanks for any tips!

Be sure to visit Shore Acres State Park West of Coos. There is an historic homestead with wonderful gardens. The Seafood at Charleston Harbor at any of the eateries is great. Pick one that suits you and enjoy!

Our visit to Coos Bay was one we remember with pleasure.  Just walking around town is worth a couple of hours.  Check out two of our web pages that document our visit there - enjoy yourselves while there.  It is a great place, and now we'll have to go back up there to visit Shore Acres State Park!
