You just had to make me go take a look at that didn't you.  He He.  Now that my friends is a motorhome.  1650 FT #'s of torque.  Wouldn't have to worry about crawling up the hills.  Wow, I wish I had an extra 200,000.00 laying around I didn't need.  Not to knock LD's because I love my LD, but that is a serious machine.

CCC is a non-issue!  Enough roof real estate to 20 solar panels, may be more.  9 to 11 mpg, better than my tiny 22' LD!  But of course, parking would be a major headache.

Impressive machine, but not my cup of tea.  Did anyone else notice the relatively small amount of window area?  I think it would be like living in a cave.

Also the very low ground clearance. Hardly suitable for the sort of places I like to go with Yonder.

1983 22' RL - Tips on removing toilet to get to shower sill trim and

Hi,
We enjoyed our first trip out in "Suzie III" this past weekend.  We went to Yermo, CA and visited the Calico ghost town.  The weather was great and everything on the RV worked fine for the most part.
The furnace kept us warm all night but there were 2 or 3 times when I woke up and the fan was going but the flame was out.  If I turned off the furnace and then turned it back on it would always start again.  I'm going to clean the nozzle assembly this weekend but wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this and has any tips.
Also, I want to install a sliding shower "screen" in our bathroom and want to remove the "domed" trim piece on the shower sill.  From what I can tell, the best way to get to the screws holding it on is to remove the toilet.
Again, any tips for doing so would be appreciated.  I checked the Technoz group but could not find any into on it.
Thanks for reading this and thanks in advance for any tips you can offer.

The fan is supposed to run for a while before and after the furnace, to keep things from getting too hot; perhaps you caught it during its end-of-cycle cool down phase.

Hi David,
As my toilet refuses to hold water, I have had the pleasure of removing it to tighten the gasket. I don't know about the'83, but here's how I remove the one in my '07.
Turn off the water pump and flush the toilet. I give you the benefit of my mistakes. Then remove the flush foot lever cover. The screws are on the toilet side. After that the plastic surround has one easy screw. Now comes the fun part. There is a metal band at the top of the toilet on mine that has a hose clamp closure. The closure is dead center on the back, between the toilet and the wall. I am a small woman with small hands and find it the worst part of the job. You might want to use a mirror. Loosen this clamp until you can turn it sidewise, then finish loosening before you remove the 2 white plastic pieces that it secures. Note that these two pieces interlock. When you have the metal band loosened, leave it on the floor at the base of the toilet w/o removing the clamp. Now you will see a small hose on the left side of the toilet also fastened with a hose clamp. Loosen  that and remove the hose. Now simply lift out the toilet. That should give you enough room to remove the molding.

Good luck

What a great description!

You should write tech (or RV) manuals.

You folks should see that rig in person!

Last September, we were boondocking at the Quinault Tribal casino along the Pacific Ocean and there was one of those monsters. Big does not do it justice! There were a couple of those Seneca's built on Kodiak chassis there and they looked like compact cars compared to one of these monsters.

The guy who owned that one was involved in some sort of racing project with his sons. I was tempted to ask for a tour but..... I don't think I could afford the price of admission.

Dang, if the stock market hadn't crashed AGAIN today, maybe I would bid on it. Or if Chris Horst would loan me a few pesos.... hmmm Hey Chris, you could use it for two weeks next July.....

Just for the record, folks, I was not on Antiques Roadshow; however, it is coming to Denver soon and we have requested tickets so we can have our Wallis Simpson jewelry collection appraised.  :-)

Actuallym there's no need to do that. You can simply pull the entire hose assembly straight out of the back of the toilet--it's just a friction fit.

Ours had the same scenario... Then it stopped all together... Motherboard went out.
