Steer Safe vs. Safe-T-Plus January 14, 2009, 09:31:01 am Yahoo Message Number: 98552Hello; I am sure this topic has been discussed before but I am interested in personal opinions in regards to Steer Safe vs. Safe T Plus. Is there anyone out there who has used both systems and can compare them for use with a 26.5 ft LD (I have the RK)? Depending on which manufacturer, or salesmen, I talk to their product (of course) is the best. Thanks for the help. Mike

We've had both on two separate vehicles: the Safe-T-Plus on a Freightliner FL-60 and the Steer Safe on our Lazy Daze. Earl says he like the way the Safe-T-Plus worked over the way the Steer Safe worked, but part of the difference may have been the different vehicles. All I know is if we were ever to consider installing something similar on another vehicle, we'd probably to with the Safe-T-Plus.Linda Hylton http://map.datastormusers.com/user1.cfm?user=1167 http://earl-linda.blogspot.com/

Yup, it has. If you use Yahoo's Search command (near the top of every page of this group's website), you can find plenty of firsthand reports on both devices.Andy Baird http://www.andybaird.com/travels/

I would imagine that it is sold at various RV Repair Centers as well. You might call the plant at:800-845-5504. Their web site is: www.steersafe.com.David (1998 MB LD)
Steer Safe Reply #6 – January 13, 2014, 08:12:23 pm Yahoo Message Number: 144522Not sure if we have Steer Straight or Safe. Blew out right front tire on I-20 this afternoon doing 60 MPH. The original owner had it installed when he did the same thing. I wish I could thank him in person. I was able to hold a straight line and ease onto the shoulder. Don't leave home without it!!After tow hours, a small van with a kid who looked like he should be in middle school arrived with a bottle jack and confused look on his face, We used the hydraulic jack to raise the tire so he could change it. We're in Vicksburg and the RV park recommended a local tire place so we'll buy a new tire in the morning. Fortunately we has a good spare, purchased at the same time as the other six. The tires are three years old.Off again for what we hope will be an uneventful day tomorrow. Only about 1200 miles to go to deliver daughter and cat to her new home in Sierra Vista.
