Yahoo West GTG - March 27-29 - Morro Bay State Park

The Yahoo West Board of Advisors is proud to announce the weekend of March 27-27, 2009 as the Spring 2009 Yahoo West GTG.
It will be held at Morro Bay State Park in Morro Bay, Ca.
We had a good turn out for the last three GTGs.
Last year over 20 LDs attended the spring event.

Reservations are necessary and can be made through ReserveAmerica.
Their website shows a nearly empty campground so now is the time to make your reservation.

Morro Bay is one of the State Park's system most popular parks and fills quickly so if you are interested in coming, do it now! ReserveAmerica now allows you to reserve particular sites, rather than picking a site out when you arrive.
We prefer the loop containing dry camping sites 86-106 due their larger sites.
Last year we concentrated in the area between site 92 and 96.
My wife and I have reserved site 95 and will arrive late Thursday evening, March 26.
Electrical and water hookups are available in sites 1-30, if you need them.

The Morro Bay area has a world of things to do ranging from walking and shopping to wine tasting and kayaking in the bay.
There is a nice, moderately priced restaurant, The Bayside Café, located at the State Park Marina and over looks the bay. It is located just a couple minutes walk from the campground. It is a good place for both lunch and dinner.
Plan on happy hour each night and a potluck one or both nights.

Is anyone staying longer than the 29th? I am camping at http://www.jacksoncasino.com/lodging/rv_park.aspx that weekend but would be willing to travel to Morro Bay for a few days.

Hello Fellow Trekkies I started working on my cardboard cut-out today that looks just like an LD. I will paint it Silver the most attractive exterior color and slip in stealthily amongst you. I will not uncloak until you have been fooled into thinking that we are actually still part of the LD cult. If you see a strange looking LD that is only 21 ft and in that new color "Sand Taupe" please do not be alarmed. It is still self-contained and has a reasonable "build quality" There is a Klingon among you a- Not sure, but we might just stop in to say HI to all you folks that we so much enjoyed last year.

We are new to LD proud owners since this summer.

Its always fun to see your LD.

Steve and Nancy's 1983 22' FL was one of the first LDs that my wife and I were invited to look inside. This was about 16 years ago, at Morro Bay State Park, and they still own and use it regularly.
Their LD shows how long an LD can last in service, as long as they are cared for.

Well that was a new one. Somehow I managed to post Larry's post and leave out my reply...
The point of which was to say: Can't wait! We had a great time last year, and hope to join you again this March. Joseph (our 18 year old) is at college, so it will be just the amazing Dominic (now 6 years old), and his two tired parents (Tony and me).
We haven't reserved a site yet, but will soon.
