1986 22' Rear Lounge - Drop down table/extension table

Question:  I just became the proud owner my LD and am new to RVing.
My drop down table and the extension table appear to have a way to connect them but there is about an inch gap between the two - Curious if anyone else has come up against this and if there is a fix or if I am missing something? Appreciate any feedback  Thank you, k

Hi Kathy! Welcome to RVing and to owning a Rear Lounge! My husband & I have an '87 RL. We hardly ever use the extension table but it connects by a lever under the table that attaches to the receiver part under the front of the drop down table. We mostly store the extension table in our shed tho as it just hasn't been  used much in the almost 7 years since we bought the RV.
