Another thing to keep in mind...Yahoo isn't the only site that puts "web beacons" on your computer, although they're usually called tracking cookies.
From what I understand of tracking cookies is that they aren't cleared out when you delete all your cookies, but if you have spy ware software, it will catch them and clean them out.

I use Webroot spysweeper. It handles all my cookies according to my directions as to whether to keep them or quaranteed/delete them all automatically: http://www.webroot.com/En_US/consumer-products-spysweeper.html?WRSID=5ade1e081ab006edae29d25c3a8f4c48

I also use the firewall and antivirus. It has protected me well for years. I first heard of them when they won an award for being good. Spysweeper will sweep your computer and show you what cookies are on it and what they do and you decide whether to keep it or have it automatically quaranteened every time it shows up. Once you get it set up it takes care of the cookies by itself.
