Winterizing the 23.5 LD

I just purchased my first LD and can not instructions on Winterizing.
In my other RV it was easy to by-pass water lines to shut them off after draining and use the water pump to fill the lines with RV anti- freeze.  But on my little 23.5 footer the floor of the front closet has to be removed to reach the water pump and the hot water heater.  There are no shut off valves on the lines either.  Any suggestions?

Being native to southern California, the LD is not built with preparations for winterizing.  Kits for bypassing the water heater and adapting the water pump are available from Camping World and similar stores for about $15 each, and are easy to install.  The pump converter allows you to suck antifreeze directly out of the jug, so you don't have to put any into the freshwater tank (and then deal with rinsing it out later). I can winterize my 23.5-foot Twin/King model with just one gallon.

It's much better if you also install an anti-freeze kit to do that chore.
It is simply a two-way valve that installs on the tank side of the water pump, and a hose that goes in the anti-freeze bottle.  You can easily do the job with just one gallon of anti-freeze, and won't have to deal with flushing your water tank (Unless you like drinking pink water.)  Easy to do it several times during the winter if you need to use the motorhome.  The kits are as low as $12.49 at Camping World.

The other option you have if you can't shut out the water heater, is pull the plug on the heater and let it drain.  Then they have a little nipple you can buy that goes on the city water supply hookup on the outside of the rig.  Then you get an air compressor and put the nozzle over the nipple and it pressurizes the system and blows all the water out.  You need to open your faucets to both hot and cold while doing it, and step on the toilet switch to open that to.  I would also dump some antifreeze down the drains and toilets just so your dra
