I listed my barrel chairs in the For Sale section recently.  I will be putting them on ebay soon but wanted to give this group first shot.

On a separate note, I started a travel blog about my new MB and myself.  There are a few nice pics in it.  It is at http://landshipenterprise.blogspot.com/

Thanks to all the help I got from this group, my start has been a very happy one.

After traveling about six months in our midbath we removed the barrel chair under the tv and built three shelves with a lip on them to hold misc. items.  Later when we removed the tv, we had accessible shelves in the upper area.  Our new tv was suspended from the upper cabinet leaving area on the lower cabinet open.  We lost very little window viewing area to the tv.
Love my barrel chair and prefer over couch.  We also built about 6 in. shelves under the dinette table.

I agree with Joan.  The barrel chairs are not all that comfortable.  I have a 30' IB with an entertainment center.   I sit in a barrel chair to watch TV.   It's not very comfortable, and I did ask Todd some time back if Lazy Daze could offer an option for a barrel chair with a high back (headrest).   He said no, but if I found a suitable replacement to let him know.   I did finally find a high back office chair at Office Depot that will work in the space and sent that info to Todd.   Still not all that comfortable because it's small, but certainly an improvement.   Gale

Barrel chairs, you either love them or hate them.
We like the barrels in in our 2003 FL and liked them even better in our 1983 FL(they were narrower).
I find the barrels to be more comfortable than the couch, YMMV.

The only way to know for sure is to spend some time sitting in one.

I'm with Larry.  We like the barrel chairs in our 2001 RB.  We always sit there in preference to the couch.

Perhaps we should run a poll:

Barrel Chairs
1. Like Them
2. Don't care for them
3. Don't know

1. Like them...

But I can't leave it there. In a directly related issue, in our FL the table between the chairs is where LD puts the connections for TV, and with the TV sitting on the table, AND seated on the COUCH opposite, we have the perfect straight-ahead viewing position: comfortable with no neck strain, ideal image placement for movies, and with added sound system, great aural image as well. This may seem minor - we don't watch a lot of TV or movies - but it is the only floorplan I am aware of to offer this TV arrangement.
As far as sitting in the chairs for other than dinette function, I find the overall support better for reading than the couch - the arms help when holding Nook or magazine. When reading on the couch, we tend to sit side-saddle, so the back can provide some arm support. And with both options available, we get to choose...

1.  I like them.  They are actually very comfortable for my wide body, and Steve's comments about the chair arms and having to sit side-saddle on the couch for just about anything (reading, watching TV, etc.) is important.  Only problem is, the chair (next to the door) is usually a repository for stuff coming into or going out of the coach!

Hello Ken I bookmarked your website. We will be traveling to Idaho this summer and will reference it. Thank you for taking the time to catalog your adventure.

1. Love the barrel chairs in my '98 FL.
 I find them very comfortable.
I often scoot the chair towards the couch, then put my feet up on the couch, leaning back in the chair.
When I first went full-time in my RV, I worked from home as a computer programmer. I was always comfortable, even after 8-10 hours of sitting working each day.
